Community Conversation Guide

A facilitation outline for recognizing local strengths, naming desired positive experiences, and choosing one shared next action.

Suggested flow

  • Welcome and shared purpose
  • Agreements for safety, dignity, and participation
  • Stories and local strengths
  • Four Building Blocks reflection
  • Assets, gaps, and relationships
  • One shared action and one feedback question

Facilitation stance

  • Treat lived experience as expertise.
  • Do not begin as though the community is empty of HOPE.
  • Make room for concern without letting deficit language define the whole story.
  • Record who will decide, act, and report back.
